Nokia seems set to launch another phone in China on Thursday, according to invites sent for an event in Shangai. The invite does not reveal much except that the event is slated for 10:30am CST (8am IST). However, a teaser on Tmall that confirms the same date and points to the number ‘7’, or Qi in Chinese.
This has given rise to the speculation that the upcoming phone in China will be named Nokia 7, and not the Nokia 8 (Review) that is yet to hit the country. Nokia 8 originally launched with 4GB RAM, but last week a variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage was released in Finland, HMD Global’s home market.
Nokia 7 specifications, features
According to a report by Nokia Mob, the Nokia 7 will be launched in three configurations – 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage, 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage. It is supposed to be powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC, and based on previous teasers on Tmall, offer the Nokia 8’s OZO Audio and Bothie features.

However, just a day before India availability, the smartphone’s hitherto unannounced 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant made its way to Finland.
We can expect China, with its well-documented love for specifications, to also receive the top-end model.Other key features specifications of Nokia 8 include a 5.3-inch QHD display, octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat software.
