Covering the impact of coronavirus on the sports world
This week’s WM Phoenix Open, which got underway Thursday, has been a blast through 54 holes with the final 18 wrapping up Sunday night on CBS. TPC Scottsdale always brings it with the atmosphere, and this year’s field was stunning with six of the top 10 in the world and 15 of the top 20.
Brooks Koepka is defending his crown, while Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas were going for their first win of the year. Yet through three rounds of action, the defending champion Koepka is firmly in the hunt to go back-to-back as he sits tied for second a shot of the lead. The others? Not so much.
At the top of the leaderboard through 54 holes, however, was Sahith Theegala, who entered the tournament on a sponsor exemption. He was up by just one stroke entering the final day of action.
Here’s how you can catch the final two rounds of the 2022 WM Phoenix Open.
