The show The Dead Files, a TV show that airs on The Travel Channel, Allan teams together with Steve di Schiavi, who’s a retired murder detective, to visit various places across America to investigate paranormal events. Allan, along with di Schiavi carries out distinct investigations. Di Schiavi relies on his detective expertise as well as Allan is open to what spirit guides have to say to her. After the show, they gather and discuss what they have learned.
The first time Allan encountered the supernatural occurred when she was just four years old. She was haunted by beings she referred to as “shadow beings.” As she grew older, she concluded that the shadows were the spirits of those who had passed away, and she began seeing spirits, too.
She is currently committed to unraveling the mysteries of the supernatural. She is also dedicated to her three cats, who are rescues: Yugi, a talkative tortoiseshell who is the queen of the house; Omi, a shy Calico who stays quiet as well. As Uma gorgeous 17-year-old Maine Coon that has the enthusiasm of kittens. Allan also has 2 Hello Kitty tattoos, which she feels is a fitting tribute to all cats.
A lot of us believe that cats are souls. However, can they communicate with cats with the dead? Allan believes that they are able to.
After her pet Pig Uma’s twin brother died, Allan had a difficult letting him go. She believes that his spirit is locked in her. “He tried to be there for me, which was a selfish thing to take on,” she says. A close friend of hers recently passed away, and Allan claims that the friend had an intervention. “She was there and informed me that I must ask him to leave and get him out of the way even though it was probably the most difficult task I’ve ever had to do in my entire life.”
The loss of a cat, or any pet, is a painful experience. Allan believes it’s crucial to ensure the health of your pet’s mind, along with your personal. “When you reach the point of no return of the pet’s lifespan, it is important to make it as simple an experience as you can, and be sure to let them go and allow them to move forward,” she says.
Some individuals choose to keep their pet’s remains through taxidermy. However, Allan believes that this is not a good idea. She believes that it is essential that the soul of an animal be released. However, when she observes an animal that is stuffed, she can see the soul of the animal still in its body. The idea of keeping ashes isn’t as prone to risk. She believes that cremation is a process of cleansing that allows their spirit to be let go.
In The Dead Files, Allan is usually looking into paranormal phenomena which involve human spirits, but she claims that animals also appear to her. Although humans have plenty to talk about (they have “a lot of baggage,” she says), pets’ spirits communicate in a more simple way. They, in general, they need to inform their owners that they’re fine. “It’s an extremely kind of spirit,” she explains.
Animal spirits aren’t all totally selfless, however. Allan recounted the tale of a dog that had died and then became unhappy with the animals the owner had adopted. The owner was unsure why the birds were beginning to behave in a strange manner. However, Allan believed that the spirit of the dog was inflicting pain on the birds. The birds eventually died; Allan believes the dog killed them.
If you’re interested in trying to connect with your pet who passed away or is no longer with you and are considering an animal medium or psychic, Allan advises against providing details regarding your pet other than the name. The breed of the animal and gender, as well as pictures, do not have to be included. “You need a reliable reading which is the sole way you can achieve that is with an objective reading,” she states.
Allan herself would do readings but would never ask for any details — or even who someone would like to reach. “Whatever is required to be revealed is what comes in,” she says.
Allan believes that animals and cats have the ability to see spirits. “They are able to communicate with them, be able to see them, hear them and even play with them and even be scared of them,” Allan says. She believes that her cat Uma is particularly adept at seeing spirits and observes her playing with and being petted by dead people. Yugi, however, on the contrary, is scared of all people, and Allan claims she hides under blankets when spirits are around.
