Taipei, December 30, December 30 (CNA). Burger King, an American fast-food chain, stated Thursday that prices in Taiwan would rise slightly while other prices will fall, beginning in January 2022.
The organization stated in a media release that the price adjustment was part of its overall operational strategy.
Starting January 11 January 11, some burger prices will drop by NT$4 (0.14 USD) each. However, Burger King stated that various items on the main and breakfast menus would rise by NT$4-10 — 1.2 percent on average.
The company stated that chicken nuggets would experience the most significant price increase, with a 10-piece order rising to NT$69 to NT$85 and a five-piece order rising to NT$39 or NT$49.
The company also stated that some Burger King Chicken Nuggets Burger King desserts might become slightly more costly. It listed an increase in the regular sundae price from NT$18-20 and a NT$25-35 fee for its strawberry and chocolate flavored sundaes. However, the cost of an espresso coffee sundae will drop from NT$55 – NT$45.
According to the press release, Angus beef burgers, whopper combinations, and most chicken burgers on this menu will be NT$4 less, while prices for the King’s Collection menu will remain the same.
According to the company, the price adjustments will be applied to approximately half of Burger King’s current Taiwan menu, but the rest of the items will not change. They also stated that delivery costs would not vary.
