Los Angeles @ Golden State
Current Records: Los Angeles 26-30; Golden State 41-15
The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Golden State Warriors at 8:30 p.m. ET this past Saturday at Chase Center after having had a few days off. These two teams are looking to take out their frustrations on one another after having lost close ones recently.
It was a hard-fought contest, but Los Angeles had to settle for a 107-105 defeat against the Portland Trail Blazers this past Wednesday. Small forward LeBron James put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 30 points and seven assists along with seven rebounds.
Speaking of close games: it was close but no cigar for Golden State as they fell 116-114 to the New York Knicks this past Thursday. Despite the loss, the Warriors got a solid performance out of point guard Stephen Curry, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten assists.
Los Angeles is expected to lose this next one by 7. Now might not be the best time to take Los Angeles against the spread since they’ve let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.
Both teams will surely be fighting tooth and nail to get back into the win column after losses last week. The teams are out to make things right after dropping matches they were expected to win, so stay tuned to see which squad bounces back.
The Warriors are a solid 7-point favorite against the Lakers, according to the latest NBA odds.
The oddsmakers were right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game opened as a 7-point spread, and stayed right there.
