Maha reports 460 new Covid-19 cases, five fatalities
Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 460 fresh COVID-19 cases and five fatalities that raised the tally of infections to 78,69,498 and the toll to 1,43,745, a state health department official said. The state had reported 225 coronavirus cases, the lowest after April 18, 2020, and zero fatality, on Monday.Maharashtra is now left with 3,209 active cases, the official said. Of the 460 cases, Pune city logged 133, while Mumbai recorded 60 infections, the official said.

Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat (of the Congress) and Transport Minister Anil Parab (Shiv Sena) met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan here, they said, adding that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and PWD Minister Ashok Chavan had held a discussion on the issue with Koshyari on Monday.

Newly-appointed Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey on Tuesday said the city police have removed 226 abandoned vehicles and registered 36 cases for wrong side driving. He also thanked Mumbaikars for their support to the police’s efforts.
“Our efforts yesterday #removekhatara had 226 removed. #wrongsidedriving driving enthusiasts saw 36 cases registered.
