Brazil’s government said it will issue temporary humanitarian visas and residency permits for Ukrainian nationals and other individuals who have been affected or displaced by the conflict with Russia.
The visas will be valid for 180 days and arriving Ukrainians can apply for residency permits lasting two years, according to the text published in the nation’s official gazette. Brazil will require, among other documents, a certificate attesting to the person’s clean criminal record. (AP)

Russian President Vladimir Putin told German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a telephone call that Russia was ready for dialogue over Ukraine if all its demands are met, the Kremlin said Friday.
Putin “confirmed that Russia is open to dialogue with the Ukrainian side, as well as with everyone who wants peace in Ukraine. But under the condition that all Russian demands are met,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
Putin also denied Russia bombing Ukrainian cities and dismissed such information as ‘gross propaganda fakes’, Kremlin added. (AFP)

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the current crisis in Ukraine by phone on Friday, the German Cabinet was quoted as saying by AFP. Scholz urged Putin to end hostilities in Ukraine and allow aid, an official statement said.

Ukranian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba has urged his Nato counterparts not to let Russian President Vladimir Putin turn Ukraine into Syria and act now before it is too late.
“Act now before it’s too late. Don’t let Putin turn Ukraine into Syria. We are ready to fight. We will continue fighting. But we need partners to help us with concrete, resolute and swift actions now,” he said in a video message after taking part in the extraordinary meeting of Nato foreign ministers.
