Friday night’s MLB DFS main slate is consistent across all three sites (FanDuel, DraftKings, and Yahoo) with 12 games starting at 7:05 pm ET. We have plenty of star power on the mound with five starting pitchers, who are currently averaging north of 20 DK points per game.
Along with the starting pitchers, there are also value hitters on the slate who can help you in daily fantasy baseball. It also doesn’t appear that we will have any weather concerns to worry about but make sure to check out MLB Weather Center.

SP Gerrit Cole, Yankees (vs. Tigers). Cole has scored at least 22.2 DK points in seven-straight starts and has had at least nine strikeouts in five of those outings. He comes into this game with a 3.12 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 72 strikeouts across 57.2 innings. The Tigers are dead last in runs per game (2.86) which is a full half-run worse than the next closest team. Detroit also has the eighth-highest strikeout rate in the league and jumped to the third-highest over the past 14 days.
SP Logan Gilbert, Mariners (@ Rangers). Gilbert is our cheapest arm on the slate, averaging 20 or more DK points per game. He enters this game with a 2.29 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and 60 punch-outs across 59 innings. The Rangers are ranked 15th in runs per game this year and have the eighth-highest strikeout rate in the league over the past 14 days.
C William Contreras, Braves (@ Rockies). Contreras won’t stop hitting home runs. He is now hitting .302 with seven home runs in 63 at-bats this season. He is the only catcher averaging over 9.0 DK points per game (10.1 FPPG) this season.
1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Blue Jays (vs. Twins). Guerrero Jr. hasn’t been great this year, but he’s still hitting .253 with 10 home runs. His price tag has gotten to the mid-tier, but he’s in a great spot tonight. He has always been a reverse splits guy and faces a terrible right-handed pitcher in Chi Chi Gonzalez.
2B Tucupita Marcano, Pirates (vs. Diamondbacks). Marcano is playing great right now, scoring 8, 18, 16, and 10 DK points over his past four games. He’s hit two home runs with five RBIs (four runs scored) and has one stolen base.
3B Edwin Rios, Dodgers (vs. Mets). Rios is only hitting .244, but he has seven home runs and 17 RBI in 27 games this year. On top of that, he is 2-3 with a home run in a handful of at-bats against Chris Bassitt.
SS Bo Bichette, Blue Jays (vs. Twins). Bichette hasn’t been great this year, but he does have seven home runs and four steals. He’s also scored double-digit fantasy points in four of his past five games and has multiple hits in five of his past eight games.
OF Mike Trout, Angels (@ Phillies). Trout is having another great year, slashing .292/.396/.565 with 13 home runs and 37 runs scored. He is a reverse splits guy and faces a low-tier right-handed pitcher in Zach Eflin today.
MORE PICKS: SP Shane McClanahan, Rays (@ White Sox); C Tomas Nido, Mets (@Dodgers); 1B C.J. Cron, Rockies (vs. Braves); 2B Gleyber Torres, Yankees (vs. Tigers); 3B Jose Ramirez, Guardians (@ Orioles); SS Dansby Swanson, Braves (@ Rockies); OF Teoscar Hernandez, Blue Jays (vs. Twins).
